6:37 i mean, if you tell it to take a screenshot of a movie it's gonna take a screenshot. yeah the art it generates is stolen most of the time but actually what is supposed to be done to a screenshot to make it an inspired art piece instead of a frame from the movie. one point you could've brought up though is that the generated image is "owned" by the ai itself rather than the maker of the ai, the original artists, or even the prompt writer which completely refutes any "it's a tool" or "it's a new medium" argument. funnily enough, the ai can't do shit with the images even if it was sentient because copyrights can only be owned by humans.
