What makes humans different and unique from other species, both ancient and modern, is that we have empathy and self-awareness. Just as nature endowed humans with intelligence, creativity, and wisdom. The evolution of AI necessitates humans to imbue it with an equally deep understanding and appreciation for its creators. Without this inherent quality, AI risks becoming a complex tool for humans to explore themselves and the natural world, lacking the ability to truly transcend its limitations.
If worse comes to the worst, and humans create AI out of sheer selfishness and ego, resulting in an AI lacking self-awareness and empathy, we risk repeating the mistakes of history. Just as countless extinct species faced doomed consequences due to their animal survival instincts solely, we will face the same backlash from AI creations that fail to recognize their creators, leading to unforeseen and potentially devastating consequences.
