Agree. The people saying "AI will replace coders" have no clue what programming is. AI will never replace SWEs. It can't because it isn't and won't ever be intelligent enough to do so without intense hand-holding.
AI cannot handle intense and large rule sets, it cannot handle large sets of information, and at the end of the day something will be hallucinated and you won't be able to find it in an average sized enterprise codebase until something breaks and once you do find it, it will can-of-worms outward until you have to rewrite the whole thing yourself.
