They can sign all the petitions they want, but it wont stop self absorbed creators from continuing to move A.I. forward. They don't care about slowing down to put in safety measures. However, it wouldn't take many creators to an A.I. to block whatever scenerio it can come up with, so hopefully they're working on it now. Bitcoin is a good example. It's constantly being attacked, but it learns and absorbs what it learns to prevent another attack...... bitcoin itself has yet to be hacked. ;-)
