I can’t stand this luddite fearmongering of AI. I can’t blame people for believing AI is dangerous with movies and celebrities doomsaying. But I can and should decry Veritasium and others for irresponsibly mimicing the doomsayers. AI is more likely to save millions of lives and lengthen the lifespans of millions more than become a weapon we wage war over. All this video serves is to propagate mistrust and placate the feelings of those already wary viewers without bringing new information or encouraging learning. Shame on you, Veritasium.
