The Jetsons told it all. Very small population of people with an extremely high quality of life. The infrastructure can be downsized because there are very few people to provide products and services to. Most of the robot infrastructure will exist to support itself. The pyramid is all machines except for the top, which is the people, a tiny population of people. Now the real issue is how the existing large population becomes a tiny population. At first, UBI will provide minimum support for them. But their lives will be boring, unfulfilled, and depressing. They will always demand more, angry, and lashing out. They will need to be controlled with robot police. This is where it gets ugly. Eventually, the robot will be used to clear out all the rubble, the decayed empty housing, and restore the environment. Small clusters of extremely high-tech luxury housing in Eden like settings will be built in the most desirable areas away from the industrial areas.
