Higher quality? Bro, it takes the same amount of time, if not more to get the desired scene with ai, and it still looks like garbage after that you still need to fix later. And even then there are still a lot of mistakes and AI artifacts that will slip through, which you don't get with human animation. Meaning the quality of the animation is worse even with human intervention. On top of that, it takes away the fun of making it in the first place. If you not passionate about making it, then what's the point in you even doing it in the first place. If your wanting to make something but not willing to go through any of the steps to do so, then maybe you shouldn't. With animation, the story is only half the picture. If the animation is garbage, then the story gets thrown off. I'm fine with maybe using AI to try to get a foot hold of roughly what you want something to look like, but using it as the entire piece, is going to result in trash. AI takes more time to get what you want as opposed to doing it yourself. And then after that, you have to go through frame by frame to fix mistakes and still miss a bunch. There is a lot of shifting, and on top of that, it's not cheaper. Is more expensive and the data used is stollen. On top of this, AI is self destructive. It takes data from the Internet to make AI slop that then is fed back into the internet to be taken by other AIs that do the same. It also ends up pushing people off that median because they start to wonder what's the point resulting in the only data AI has being AI. Then the "work" gets worse. The problem with AI as it is, is it doesn't make people creative. It does the work for you with way less than a quarter of the quality. It makes you lazy, and fun fact: you don't learn anything when you use AI. I've even noticed this myself with coding. I don't retain anything when I try to use AI to understand something. You learn a lot more about a bug when you spend the time to learn how to fix it. But AI geners don't get it. And you know what, they probably never will. But as long as REAL artists hold their stand, we will prevail. Whether it be indie or what not, animation and art made by humans will always be higher quality up until the day when an AI can truly feel and experience as a human does. And when that AI does, It won't be making art or animation because somebody gave them a prompt and want something without the work, it will make art because it wants to. Because it chose to. Not because its programming said to. I've done my fair share of AI gening, but I hardly found joy in it. I find more joy in doing something myself. For the animated series I'M making, yes, I use AI "art" for advertisement on billboards and posters, but only because it makes sense in the setting for there to be posters made by AI. But even so, I still put a little bit of my OWN work in as well to get what I want, while still having fun. On top of that, the animation is still going to be done by me, and the scenes are still going to be done by me, and the script is written by me. Not AI.
