I really don't like how people talk about "ai" philosophically because people swap around what "ai" even means on the fly. Whether it's the whole concept of machine learning, current large language models, future large language models or a ficticious possibly attainable future fully autonomous digital being who has a swarm of drones and heavy industrial robots at it's disposal that doesn't need maintainance and also don't exist yet. All of these things are different things. Chatgpt 12 isn't going to be able to fly a helicopter, it exists to predict written characters in a sequence of characters.
