They're going to placate us. The climate is doomed. They are building an AI so it can restart humanity and retain our progress. We'll have to live under the earth, as most of the world will be inhospitable. This is why we have to leave the planet. You'll get UBI. A high UBI. But I don't think everyone is going to make it. We ony have a few centuries before it's too late, so resource scarcity and overshoot isn't an issue.
