One name/term I think perfectly contradicts a lot of these "AI isn't bad" arguments is "Studio Ghibli/Miazaki". A lot of work went into making films like "Spirited Away" and "Howl's Moving Castle". Work drawn by hand and carefully assembled. And Miazaki has been quite vocal in his dislike for generative AI. If you draw an image in Ghibli style, by hand or on tablet, then it can be called inspired and respectful, as you're putting effort into it. But when you make an algorithm to pump out Ghibli clones, it diminishes the value and effort that was put in the original work. It's also highly disrespectful. What I think image generators can be useful for however is to get a rough visualization of an image. Not for details, just the overall shape of something or a rough concept. But I totally agree that the creator of a work puts a part of them inside what they make. I remember a school assigment where I had to make a piece of music in a program. The program had various snippets of sounds and beats. What I ended up making was inspired by various videogames I used to play. Even had sections for the different games. If I remember, I was inspired by: Midnight Club, Gran Turismo, Spiral Knights, and Lego Rock Raiders.
