Honestly AI can produce decent art (i shouldn't even call it that let's be honest its slop) and yeah, we can say hey that's cool but at the end of the day It will never have the meaning nor the soul of a human being sitting down with a paint brush or a pencil. AI in and of itself is soulless yeah sure it's your ideas and visions your giving it to create but something about it just feels meaningless. My Uncle works in filming, and he had to use AI for a project. We were discussing it and when I brought up the topic of the use of AI feeling unrewarding, he completely agreed with me. Because he made the film, YET he didn't. He didn't feel the same reward of going out and filming it himself all he had to do was put in a prompt and edit the footage until it was right. As someone who enjoys both creative writing and occasional drawing, I really don't see the use of AI as useful to my hobbies yeah sure I could use it to create illustrations for the book I'm writing OR I could actually really try to accomplish something and try doing illustrations myself. Yeah, sure I may be kind of so-so at drawing I'm not the best I can't actually draw well without copying a picture or artwork just by looking at it. But the simple act of trying to accomplish something trying to write a novel trying to draw your characters and settings as life-like as possible even if your drawing doesn't look that good or falls short of your expectation. You still tried and that has a lot more value than sitting at a computer and typing in a prompt for everything. Hear it from someone who's writing a fantasy novel, the best most valuable and creative things will never come from a machine because a machine will never be able to compete with the ingenuity and creativity of the human mind. To quote Mr. Spock from Star Trek "I simply maintain that computers are more efficient than human beings, not better."
