It's a shift, but it's not a bad one, hear me out: Yes, it will take over a lot of mundane jobs, but the thing is, your life will no longer be mundane. You will for the first time in your life have a chance at being your own CEO. There's a lot of AI slop right now, the reason for this is because there's a lot of people enjoying the quantum leap we've done, but they're not very good at it, and everyone is trying and releasing slop too early. But the tools we have are incredibly good already, it's just that people are terrible at using those because they're so impressed with they can do with little effort.
Imagine you actually put good effort into it, such as being critical of the work you do with AI, and take time to direct, take time to project manage, art-direction, good storytelling etc. and put the good effort into it, you'll have world changing life changing results, but only the very best of you will be able to pull this off, and in the beginning you will drown in AI slop, such as we see now.
But these tools will give individuals possibilities beyond their wildest dreams. It will be a terrible transition period of 5-10 years for sure, but new jobs WILL arise as a result of this, rest assured.
