End AI systems until regulation measures can be implemented. We have seriously overestimated the accuracy of the systems, and in cases, companies were lied to about the metrics of AI systems and how they could recapture America’s imagination. The question shouldn’t be “why not allow ai to make visual art, movies, music and poetry?”, but “why would we EVER give up these skills to computers?” A computer can write a joke- maybe even understand why the joke could be interpreted as ironic, but the program will never feel the entanglement of human history and our connection to it. It cannot laugh at what it cannot understand. The information we have on human social society over the entire course of human history is being chopped up, and reserved to us. Our work, and our words. These are not intelligent programs to help sort information;that’s excel… what they are, are theft-based programs built on intellectual property of millions of humans. Thousand of years of info blended up, and vomited onto your screen. It should be contended because it is illegal. Our work is not for sale, nor for the taking. I’d rather hoard my paintings in my basement til I die than let the midjourney thieves have it for free. Peace.
