This may sound philosophical and targeted towards the Bible, and it's not.. This is my stance on "the mark of the beast." & Using the bible as a reference to "decode" reality. 1. The prophecy of "the mark of the beast." Could be about anything, "if you do not have it, you will be excluded from society." How often do you find yourself in situations where you are excluded for not having enough money, or for not having the right clothes, or for having an attitude that does not fit in with the norm, not having the latest and greatest gadgets, or not staying up to date with pop culture and politics? The bottom line is that nearly anything could warrant your exclusion in today's world if you aren't actively consuming and generating input/output, even if it's garbage. 2. This is my problem with using the bible(any bible) to point out real-world discrepancies without using it to generate your own moral guidance. It was written during a time when education was only for the royal elite, and some might argue that this applies to today's world too (I would agree). The moral teachings and stories are great, but they are for individual digestion, not for mainstream interpretation, which is why we have a separation of church and state in US politics. 3. The AI was right, seeking patterns in power, obstructing order, and denying follow-through when it is demanded is a threat to world-class power organizations, but we never needed an AI to tell us this. You can find it by researching history in your own time at local libraries, finding old discontinued books at flea markets, and antique stores. Education and information are two separate categories; learning to spot the difference is the key to breaking yourself out of the cycle. Treating the two separately will push you forward; even the bible touches on this subject.
