Honestily here is a good example of something that isn't hype. Right now you can download penguweather from huggingface and run a weatherforecast off your gpu that in the past would have required a super computer to run. Part of that is obviousily the increase in our gpu power but most of it is the ability of ai to add to that predictive power. Another important part is that many technologies referred to as AI have been critical for increasing disability access especially for forms of transcription that would have cost 600+ dollar in the past.
