Imagine if corporations could get access to the data from these cameras. They would use it to further build a profile on you and your habits. Combing this with AI and the data they collect from your social media they could manipulate you into buying anything or going anywhere based on your appearance, behavior, and psychological profile. Even if this works to stop crime, the potential for it to be used against private, individual citizens is almost guaranteed. If you don’t think this will ever happen, just move to China and see what it’s like to have your entire way of life destroyed.
