These counter argument makes me thik: Well, if you use AI to generate all your work, as they suggest, then you'll probably have more time for either to do more work on other things, or to connect with your loved ones.
But that would leave a truly useless internet, with a convoluted and flawd money "generator" where AI buys, or promote AI work, that no one wants to engage with (or even understand), but somehow pays us for keeping it running. That sounds like a scam. It not only doesn't work, but I don't want to live in that reality TBF. I would love to live an internet free life, but not at the cost of either replacing my work with uninspired one, or without the convenience the internet gave, with no offer for replacement.
We stopped printing maps for one example, and we would realize too late what else we did lost. I'd miss the ease of connecting with others.
