Google don't have as many Nvidia GPUs as you'd think because they don't rely on them for AI like everyone else does. They have their own in-house TPUs (Tensor) that do the vast majority of the grunt work. If they were using Nvidia for all their AI, you can bet they'd have more than anyone else to power it. Their own TPUs are more optimized, efficient, and lower cost.
