Disabled artist here! I honestly hadn’t heard the argument before that AI was good for disabled people to express themselves esc.
I do find it rather insulting though. It feels diminishing of my efforts and time put into learning and making creative works. People undervalue and underestimate us disabled folks but we try damn hard. We’ll have our own limitations but that doesn’t make us incapable of creativity by any means.
The idea that all my hard work could all be cannibalised into a quick sentence in an image generator also is pretty defeating.
