Most people fear AI because they know subconsciously that humans created it, and humans cannot be trusted, or is it that intelligence that's potentially greater than ours is threatening?
Humans equate things against what they understand, without fully understanding that an intelligent consciousness may not develop a violent side as we have.
There's no denying the intelligence of animals and even though evolution has taught many animals to see us as predators many animals also see us as less of a threat today.
It is humans that are the creature full of fears as we look in the mirror when we look at everything else.
