Another depressing point becomes evident when comparing to the clothing and textile industry. A hundred years ago everyone bought clothes made of natural materials (cotton, linen, wool etc) that was sewn with high quality handiwork because there was no other choice of what to buy. Now we can buy cheaper clothes made of synthetic materials shoddily constructed by sweatshop workers and who knows how long the garment will last before falling apart. But the really sad thing is that well constructed clothing made of natural materials have gotten more expensive because they're now seen as a luxury when a hundred years ago they were cheap because they were universal.
AI art is going to cause manmade art to get a lot more expensive.
