Although it wouldn't solve every moral and legal problem I have with AI, if every single generated image had a simple list under it of every image and artist used as "reference," a lot of the inspiration-vs-stealing debates would calm down. It would be a long list, but AI has the technology. I think it would also help AI supporters truly see how much work--not their own work, but someone's work--goes into each image.
