This video is a great reminder that AIs are HEAVILY influenced by their inputs and the people inputting their data, AI will always have natural biases. ChatGPT attempts to apologize to try and be relatable to more human emotion with its language, and people thought it would be most suitable for its product to apologize when a consumer is upsetted by something.
AI is not conscious, it’s just appealing to language mannerisms because its input and overseers thought that would be the most marketable - and the average Joe won’t look further into it.
