Eric Shmidt is totally wrong to say LLMs "predict the next word". That was true only before 2021. He has no idea about AI in 2026 or even in 2021. After 2023, all modern LLMs use "contextizing" NN-layers that began UNDERSTANDING the conversation. Schmidt is wrong. He's a billionaire defending mega-corporations, saying they behave responsibly. He and corporations don't. He MISLED the audience a few times here.
