What very few seem to grasp is on its surface AI will lower the death toll for modern nations however and this is the biggest thing currently the millitary is primarily controlled by men and women who have hearts and emotions. So the chances of a large first world nation turning its millitary on it's own people is very slim. If we have an AI military and a nation wanted it's own people dead because they were fighting back to hard it's as easy as pushing a button.
