It doesn't matter how much AI does, people still *can* do things, and human ability will always fill into the gaps, even if they're just youtube reactors or something like that. UBI would be devastating because it destroys the meaning of money, which is a measurement of people helping each other (to be fair, there are several other things we currently do that also destroy the meaning of money, which is why things cost so much).
Though having lots of different, competing AIs, trying to establish competing experimental economic systems could be interesting. Much more likely, we'll have AI applied to creating new jobs by networking people together to meet needs and match skills that we have no idea exist right now.
