I think that we are still in between the peak and the trough, although I could be very well wrong on this. All the major players in both the chip manufacturing sector and the AI company seem to be too much invested in the technology and are still building hype around the technology as they have too much to loose. Seen this before i.e. Nero playing the harp while Rome burns. Interestingly enough I just had a conversation with an AI about this and it agrees that my statement is probably right as all the major player are too invested to afford to back down and that we may very well be involved in watching a "very expensive game of chicken" (its word not mine).
