I don't think democratizing AI governance is feasible. The economics and implications of AI are extremely complex and as John Coates just shared most people do not even understand the modern economy as it is.
Perhaps what Altman is referring to with the chatbot is an AI that understands people and their needs far better than we understand ourselves.
