One of the biggest issues i see is people not grasping the full scale of reality surrounding AI.
First AI is not free and it is not cheap neither to deploy nor to operate and maintain.
As a result it will soak in a lot of resources for its own existence.
As it become more and more a dominant
force in the world, most of the productive output of the world will focus on producing goods and services serving its own needs.
This will divert a lot of the resources needed for delivering high standars of living for the AI and its agents (robots)
The end stage of this is full displacement of human life from material goods. And beyond this a full displacement of organic life with machine life and intelligence on a planetary scale.
The first stage of this will unfold over the next 10 years and it will bring about a lot of drama around the world as resources are gradually drained away from different regions of the world.
