So here's the problem with AI taking over jobs, once it gets to a stage where it is enmass replacing jobs, say 80% of all workers in every field, there is no hope left for them. What I mean is imagine you had a job as a blacksmith back in the day, and somebody introduces a device that does your job in half the time, you would go look for work in another related field say like metal repair, or get trained/learn how to do a different job like bar keeping which will take multiple months or years to get at the same skill level you were at your previous job. The issue is AI is going to hit all fields at basically the same time, and the few that are left will be hit 5-10 years down the line when better drone/robot tech is available (think stuff like plumbing) So your average dude is going to lose his first job, go into retraining for his new job, only for that to be taken by ai before or around the time he finishes learning how to do it, and then the next job he tries will be the same and then he will give up either from lack of will or lack of funds available for yet more retraining. And baring some world wide national reform that either keeps a % of people on payroll or taxes the ever living shit out of companies that use AI, all the goods value of society gets shipped right to the top.
