Universal basic income will not fix the issue, it's easy to think it will. We need to begin training an educating people to work alongside AI. And we need to find an alternative to capitalism. Capitalism is the root issue. When AI takes enough jobs, there will be too many workers and not enough jobs, so it looks like universal basic income is the only option, but in reality it isn't even an option. someone has to pay that in taxes, If they suggest for corporations to pay it, they'll move their plants and factories to other countries. This will lose american jobs by the millions. The only answer is to change capitalism, which to most people in america makes no sense because its the only thing they understand. It's time to adjust and make a real system.
No one's gonna like the real answers because they'll feel like loss of freedom when they happen.
