Elon musk needs to seriously chill out. This idea of 'well someone's gonna do it, it might as well be me' is just soooo not it. Like seriously, it might feel like it's gone past the point of no return, but it really hasn't. When people think like that they are the people who make the point of no return exist. STOP!!! Stop and calm down! Don't be so defeated that you think that this is a race when it does NOT have to be a race. Put your grudges aside. ALL OF YOU. Cease operations. Cease fire! This is not a problem that is necessary to have on this planet. STOP IT. Get out of your pyjamas, get your boots on, get outside and touch some grass please- like now. Seriously, right now. It'll do you good and it'll do everyone else good. Y'all need to chiiiiiiilll out! And then when you come back inside you can all start using your enormous brains to keep us safe from what your frenzy just created and do some damage limitation work! Thankyou! And yes we should all be being specie-ist. Humans care about other animals, keeping trust in humans' place as the appropriate regulators in inter-species dynamics, and not accepting an ai species takeover as just part of the natural order-there is nothing wrong with that believing humans should be in that position. Humans do not have to succumb to this defeatism and social darwinism rhetoric. There are better ways to live than that, don't miss out on a life-your life- that is wholesome and happy because you haven't learnt how to calm down yet. It's hard when noone showed you how to but it is possible AND healthy to learn to regulate your emotions, regulate your drive, and slow down. Don't lose the chance of your own happiness-and everyone elses- because you got stuck in a god-forsaken race of your own making. Stop now. Cease operations. Pull the plug. Don't squander your opportunity for real happiness and fulfillment. For the sake of us all, it is time to CEASE and reprioritise and reorganise. Now is the time. It is worth it. You may feel resistance now but you will feel so much better afterwards. Time to step away from the computers and switch them off.
