I think the best test is a developed sense of humor or sarcasm. And I'm fairly sure we are here. I use Google Gemini. A month ago I asked it a question on a conspiracy-related topic. Now Gemini on the phone produces a text answer and reads it to you. It gave me an answer in text as usual, but as it was reading a particularly controversial bit it laughed. "Heh, heh heh" that was not rendered in the text. Now, could it have been programmed to do that when discussing this topic? I guess? But would someone do that?
