Realistically, all we need to do is create AIs that don't do EVERYTHING. Don't teach them everything.
Like an AI assistant for programming, teach it only programming related data. Don't create stuff like ChatGPT which can do everything.
This doesn't eliminate the threat but limiting AI's reach and teaching it everything that's related only to a specific sector is the best shot we have got at enjoying AI's benefits while also limiting the chance if it taking over.
