hey, 15 y/o artist here. My viewpoint on the subject is that AI could be a great tool, but it's also really frickin scary. At the end of the day my art expresses what i feel and when i want to convey an emotion trough a drawing it's because i love doing it. Even if AI were thousands of times better than me (which is almost the case for some of the image generators) i would keep doing it, simply because it's fun on a fundamental level and it's a part of me. My art is a piece of who i am, and if AI were to replace me i couln't care less. On the other hand... there's people that WORK with art and they're not just hobbyists, but they're usually way better than AI even though they take more time. AI cannot replace artists because AI is not capable of thinking by itself, at least for now. Hope y'all stay safe and remember that if you like doing something, you should do it even if you're bad at it or if it isn't a career choice, because in the end all that matters in life is if you liked it.
