As a half natural and half acquired anarchist (not the bombthrowing kind), this trend toward smarter and smarter surveillance has dark implications regarding mankind's next "evolutionay" step. And it isn't just surveillance. We are moving more and more into the use of AI in all aspects of our lives just because it CAN be done. Dictators or democrates, makes little difference. Some see this trend as toward utopia. I see it as a trend toward more and more unnatural tendences and dependencies having little to do with the real maturation of a human.
