I think what they call AI is just a tool. It's not intelligent, and it never will be. It simulates pseudo-human interaction, but it's just an algorithm with such astounding processing power that we could never have imagined it. That's why it needs gigawatts of electricity and active cooling for its monstrous data centers.
It's similar to the public launch of the internet with the original World Wide Web in 1993. It had a huge impact then, and it still does today. We navigate that global network from our smartphones regularly and continuously. We certainly wouldn't know our current lives without it. I suppose something similar will happen with AI, if the planet can handle it... 🤔😊
