I think artist MUST protect their work, but i think the execution is a bit clumsy, and i think a lot of it come from wrong foundations. AI isn't the problem, it's a tool. The problem are users and bad developper who are scraping everything. Imho, if AI was caught using data from copyright steal, they should pay a big % (like 30 or even 40, would make them scared of stealing) of their revenue & actual value AND delete every data stolen & generated with it. And the law should be applied quickly every time. Same punishment for people using AI generated art make with stolen data. And IA generated content should have the AI mention everytime, to avoid fooling people. Doing a trench war against AI wouldn't work, because people who are stealing are not afraid at all, they risk nothing other than a bad generation, it's a no problem for them. Would have loved to see you train a custom local AI with your poisoned art to see how it will damage the result, might have been interesting (tbh, was hoping to see that lol) Good luck in your war for property ^^
