This guy seems like a great guy. But his basis for 'sentience' is based on religion. Just because something passes the Turing Test, it literally means nothing about it being self aware. Why would Google humor ethical questions about a robot. The ethical question should revolve around how this technology is used to manipulate and/or scam the public. Should you allow a robot to just speak in a way where you can't verify its its AI. That to me is unethical.
