isnt crazy that the billion dollar companies could just infringe on everyones work without getting copyright struck... i mean i feel bad for people who freelanced as wordpress developers, wordpress is an amazingly well documented platform, and do you know what happens when you have a well documented platform? AI sucks all that information up and now EVERYONE is a good wordpress developer, i went from barely being able to write a few lines of code and had to outsource ALL my wordpress related development work to freelancers to now run all of it myself writing the most insane complex plugins that go into other systems and fetch data and do all kinds of things, stuff i could never ever do without AI. that being said, as someone who knows my way around computers but dont generally know how to code well i can tell you that AI producing good code is night and day and its 100% all related to how good the training data is, essentially the only reason AI can code is because they ripped all the information from stackoverflow where kind and skilled developers would share their knowledge for free in order to get "status points" and look smart towards other less skilled developers, well.. turns out they all ended up making themselves homeless, sharing your skills online is not a good idea now with AI lurking around every corner to train itself on your hard learned knowledge. whats even worse is microsofts major push towards AI being marketed as "convenience" for the end user, but what it is really all about is that microsoft wants to use its massive user base (billions of people across the world) to train their up coming AI models. smart people have figured out that AGI is never going to happen with current AI, but they also know if they have access to a large enough data set (users doing things on their computer) they can train the model in a way where it can cover 99% of all work related tasks in compute, and thats why they are pushing AI so hard to their desktop/laptop users, you are now a slave paying to use their OS while also working to have yourself fired from whatever work you are doing on said PC. microsoft wants to pivot into making money doing all your computer related tasks in the future from the cloud, no employees needed and they used you to make it all possible, for free! actually you paid them to work for them for free! good luck out there, i hope your bank accounts are solid because there is going to be a hell of a ride as the economy shifts into whatever is coming
