In reality, each industrial revolution has transformed jobs, not eliminated them. Today, in the Fourth Industrial Revolution, work is becoming more intelligent, not obsolete. If the United States wants to remain competitive, it should invest in education and skills development instead of fueling fear about AI. Otherwise, a consumer-driven nation may end up doing manual work while other countries produce the goods for them.
