Wage growth exploded during covid re-opening. Especially for in-demand professional jobs. There was an influx of cash in the economy and people quit their jobs en masse. It drove up wages and prices. Now jobs are filled and new ones are not being created because it's too expensive to hire new people. AI isn't actually meaningfully replacing college grads in most industries. AI is replacing student learning though. And that's a pretty big problem that everyone is going to be dealing with in 10-20 years
