What would the copyright even protect? The image? The prompt? What if an 'artist' generates a copyrighted AI image with a different prompt to the original copyright holder? They did just as much work to 'make' the art. What if someone else who is an actual artist inadvertently duplicates an AI image to a significant degree without ever seeing the AI's image because the AI created the image based on training data from that artist? I can't see this case getting anywhere, even in a world where being an 'AI artist' is considered a talent. 😂
