this whole , well people will harness it and make loads of money.. umm.. no a very few people will harness it and make tons of money, most will not. It will just create fewer winners and way way more "losers". In the real world no one pays people simply out of their goodness of their heart. People are paid based on what additional revenue their labor can generate for a company. If a person isnt bringing value, they are let go. With AI, millions or billions of people will now longer offer anything of value labor wise to companies or society. What do you do with all these people? This is what isnt being addressed. Plus because some of the last jobs that will be converted will likely by the the most physical labor intensive because face it robotics is lagging behind Ai., this leads to the problem, who is going to pick up trash, work in the fields, do they dirty work for crappy pay when they could just sit home and collect UBI?
