I don’t agree with all of this. At least personally I don’t think that LLMs truly steal information and regurgitate it for profit, also the web scraping isn’t new, people have been doing this for decades and more directly making a profit off of the work of others. In fact the entire point of LLMs existing is for a property called generalization, where by being trained on information around a topic they can then complete tasks that weren’t explicitly given in training. Image gen is another story, but specifically for LLMs I don’t really see a conflict.
