The only way this would make sense is if we lived in a dystopian global government where NaNo was mandated to be participated in by all citizens. The rules of NaNo state that once you sign up, if you fall short of writing 50,000 words in one month you will be brutally executed the 1st of December. Much of the human population was murdered over the years as they couldn't spew out 50,000 words. Devastatingly, not even 49,999 can save you. Then a hero comes along to free us from the tyranny of 50k... NaNo is not that serious. No one's life or money is on the line (except the orgs). It's just a fun challenge to push yourself to write. You could write the worst shit on the planet, but it's your shit. It's a first draft. Grammar, spelling, language aren't 1st draft concerns so saying certain people need AI for those reasons is nonsense. Writing a 1st draft is not the same as writing consecutive drafts or copy editing which is not the same as proofreading, and publishing is a completely other thing. Are there barriers in some of these areas for certain groups of people? Yes. Does that mean those groups can't write a first draft? No.
