I’m a weirdo here, but I do think it’s okay to use whatever is publicly available to train AI models. I learned to draw by looking at other artists work. With the caveat that ai doesn’t try to reproduce or replicate that art for profit.
Also, in order to break the underrepresentation, unfortunately the AI is going to need more representative data
I am someone who changes their mind when presented with a well reasoned supported argument though, so I’m not saying I’ll always feel this way
