This reminds me of the Y2K scare. Many jobs will indeed be replaced by AI and companies are holding off on hiring due to market expectations. However, new technology is expensive and risky for businesses that are already successful with their existing infrastructures in place. Traditionally, these companies have been slow in transitioning into newer technologies due to risk of impacting current productivity and the cost to transition. Sometimes we can buy technologies we don't really need or use. Companies cannot afford to waste money in that way because they have investors.
