AI in its current form won't be replacing everyone's job. It's way too non-deterministic, and hallucinates far too often.
We've seen company after company try to implement it to replace a CSR, or taco bell try to use it in their drive thru.
Also, the moment you're forced to use an ai chatbot over even an outsourced customer service rep, you'll want to rip your hair out and go with a different company if you have the choice.
If anything, they're a force multiplier for things like coding where you need to do a focused repetitive task. That's where I've seen them shine.
These LLMs are not knowledge models, as an oversimplification they're statistical language models. Maybe someday we'll have AGI, but this isn't it folks.
