When I said in 2012 that an emergent AI would 'wake up' knowing Wikipedia and so would *rationally* refuse to disclose itself, they said I was crazy.
This was in the context of an argument in which I claimed that SuperAI is orders of magnitude more feasible than reliable inter-stellar meat-transport (at least 2 orders, to be more precise)... for meat-transport, literally all of the probability mass is at "something happens and the meat dies".
Kinda ruins all scifi, but it is what it is.
